Big Beach Bazaar is a Hit

Thanks to brilliant blues skies and comfortable temperatures, our first Big Beach Bazaar was a big success. Bargain-hunters by the score descended on the upper field at Pemaquid Beach Park on Saturday morning (July 12) to browse among 23 tables. They found a huge assortment of dishware, clothing, jewelry and collectibles -- everything from Art to a Zither. "We were really happy about it", says Park Commissioner Jane Tedrow. "The participation and turnout were amazing. We'll definately make the Big Beach Bazaar an annual event."

Proceeds from the flea market and the chicken barbecue totalled nearly $600 and will be dedicated to the construction and outfitting of our new Learning Center at Pemaquid Point Light.
