
Pemaquid Beach Park is a sun-lover's destination from May to September.

It takes a full-time team of three (plus additional staffers when needed) to keep all nine parks looking their best. It also takes tractors, mowers and a whole array of tools of the trade.

The Bell House at Pemaquid Point Light. At one time, this brick structure housed a manual bell: the keeper would have to ring it by hand at the first sight of fog. Later, a mechanical device using weights, was installed. The wooden tower was built to built to house the weights. The bell was removed when the lighthouse was automated in 1934. Today, there's a gong buoy just off-shore to provide an audible warning for boaters.

In 1960, The Pemaquid Group of Artists and the Town of Bristol jointly constructed the art gallery at Lighthouse Park. On a typical summer day, you'll see some of the members teaching painting courses around the immediate area.
